Meadow Ridge Farm

Sunday morning, May 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The dairy farm offers views of the Litchfield hills, working dairy barns, Holstein-Angus cattle, and large farm equipment. Located at 277 Beach Street, Litchfield, CT, the farm also has a self-serve store for raw milk and Maple syrup.

Painters are asked to park in the gravel driveway in front of dairy barns. No bathroom facilities. Rain cancels. Visitors are welcome.Please NO PETS!

Topsmead State Forest

Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy

Sunday, July 20, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.—Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy

Enjoy the avian conservancy created by Dillon Ripley. Painters park in gravel lot across the street and enter through the office. Views of rare birds from around the world, duck ponds, a colonial home. No charge for painters, visitors donate $10. Please, do not block paths, no pets allowed. White Memorial Conservation Center

Sunday, September 14, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Meet at Little Pond Boardwalk parking, on Whites Woods Road to receive a property map. Painters may paint wherever they wish. Please do not block trails or gates.

About Practice Sessions

Plein Air LItchfield (PAL), is planning free monthly practice sessions through September (excepting August) for area artists who would like to prepare for a community “Quick Draw” competition to be held later in the Fall after the main competition. The practice sessions are free and open to artists of all skill levels to come and sketch or paint —no instruction will be provided. Artists should bring an easel and art supplies, and paint at their own risk. Rain cancels.
